Stall Opportunity in Birmingham – Meet the Migrants Event

Meet the migrants event – invitation for you & your organisation to have a stall / participate

On the afternoon of Wednesday 29th October Migrant Voice will be holding public event at the Birmingham & Midland Institute, Margaret St, B3 3BS (www.bmi.org.uk). The event has been organised to invite members of the public and migrants who are living in Birmingham/West Midlands to meet and engage.

We feel this event is important at a time of increasingly hostile debate on migration. We wish to bring migrants and the host communities of Birmingham together to break down the barriers, foster mutual understanding in order to build stronger communities.

We are inviting representatives from Migrant and Refugee Community Organisations to have a stall in our “market place.” Tables will be provided and it is up to you what you would like to display. It could be about your country of origin and / or the work you are doing in the community.

Note: This is not a commercial event, therefore we will be discouraging items being sold by stall holders. We will be providing refreshments for stall holders and the public.

We will be inviting a few key note speakers and will launch our research on the impact the migration debate has on migrants living in the UK.

We are hoping for some decent media coverage (press, radio, TV) – so if you want to dress up please do!

Let us know if you would like a stall by simply contacting David [email protected] to let him know what your stall will contain.

More publicity will be forwarded over the next few weeks. David looks forward to hearing from you and your organisation.
