About uS

M∙prez Enterprise is an award winning organization formed on behalf of women and young adults in the fields of arts, culture, education, technology, communication, science, and health. It supports women and young adults in their creative endeavours in those fields and other areas that affect them.

A Youth Radio Activity for young people 6-18 years

Express U is a youth radio activity for young people. We are using radio to enhance the wellbeing of young people, learn new skills such as interviewing and have a space to communicate your hopes, fears and dreams for the future.

Showcase your passion for music, your talents in poetry and the arts . Learn how to make radio and showcase your shows on the Derby Sound Community Radio Station. We are offering in person sessions and online sessions to learn new skills and to express your feelings and experience, whilst meeting other young people.

We are inviting guest speakers and give you tasks to complete to create your own shows. Come along on our visits in bubbles to the radio station to get a feel for live radio. This is arranged in support with Derby Sound Community Radio.

Tickets must only be booked for children and young people. Teachers and other professionals with interest in the project should contact us separately.

The current sessions are funded by Arnold Clark.

The session dates and times are as follows and divided by age group. Please complete the consent forms to secure your child’s place.

4.45 pm -5.30 pm (6-9 year olds)

5.45 pm-6.45 pm(10-14 year olds)

7 pm-8 pm (15-18 year olds)
