About uS

M∙prez Enterprise is an award-winning organization formed on behalf of women, children and young people in the fields of arts, culture, education, technology, communication, science, and health. It supports women, children and young people in their creative endeavours, in those fields and other areas that affect them. M-prez Enterprise aspired to uplift and aid in the self-development of women and girls from ethnic minorities, a historically at risk and traditionally underserved population.

Xpress U Meets #reimagine festival

At this Xpress U Session we are creating a podcast for the Reimagine Festival, you can also be a youth reporter for the Festival taking place 23/24 July 2022 .The Reimagine Festival is a youth lead festival where young people (8-25 years) are taking the stage, showcasing their rap, singing, poetry, visual arts and other creative talents and also work behind the scenes.

The themes for the Festival are:

  • The Environment/ Climate Change
  • Wellbeing/ Mental Health
  • Colour the City

We will explore and record what these themes mean to young people and what we like to see more of. We want to hear about your hopes and wishes for the future, train to report from the festival and interview artists and guests at the Festival.

xpress u (youth Radio / podcast)

A Youth Radio Activity for young people 6-18 years

Xpress U is a youth radio/ podcast activity for young people. We are using radio to enhance the wellbeing of young people, learn new skills such as interviewing and have a space to communicate your hopes, fears and dreams for the future.

Showcase your passion for music, your talents in poetry and the arts . Learn how to make radio and showcase your shows. We are offering in person sessions and online sessions to learn new skills and to express your feelings and experience, whilst meeting other young people.

We are inviting guest speakers and give you tasks to complete to create your own shows.

Sisters Talk

Sisters Talk are black women sessions that started in 2018 in Derby. Here we discusses issues around mental health, physical health, community discussions, lifestyle. In 2020 we also included discussions about COVID 19 effects on the community. It is a safe space to speak out, discuss and share experiences and combat isolation, offer peer support and discussions.
