Invitation to Migrant Voice Birmingham Network Meeting 19th November

We are pleased to invite you to the next meeting for the Migrant Voice Birmingham/West Midlands Network. The meeting will take place on Tuesday 19th November 2013 from 6 – 8.30pm at Bosnia House, 36 Medley Road, Greet, Birmingham B11 2NE

The agenda will include:

The new Immigration Bill – Saira Grant, Legal and Policy Director, Joint Council for the Welfare of Immigrants will give us the latest update on the bill and its impact, and in particular how to make our voices heard. Saira will also tell us about the new Movement Against Xenophobia (MAX)

Craftspace & Shelanu: Women’s Craft Collective – Emma Daker from Craftspace & Shelanu will be giving information about their installation “Story Meadow: Tales of Migration to Birmingham” at the new Library of Birmingham (26/11 – 1/12) where visitors will be invited to share their stories of migration to the city and contribute to this exhibition. Emma will run a short workshop to facilitate our contribution to the installation.
