Restore’s post of Befriending Women’s Worker

Restore, a project of Birmingham Churches Together, aims to welcome, include and assist integration of refugees and those seeking sanctuary from persecution. Restore works to achieve this through befriending, social activities, equipping refugees for work, advocacy and awareness-raising.

Female Befriending Women’s Worker (full time post, fixed
term contract for 12 months covering Maternity Leave of the current worker)£22,443 (based on NJC Scale 6, point 26)

This post is pivotal in providing the support service and care that Restore offers to refugee and asylum seeking women and their families and to Restore’s female volunteers. The person appointed needs energy, sensitivity
and good communication skills, and ideally has experience of working with refugees, asylum seekers and volunteers. Knowledge of church networks would be useful.
