Women Make Radio are part of our M-prez Thursday, monthly drop in sessions hosted by M-prez Enterprise in partnership with Derby Sound Community Radio. It’s an opportunity to allow women to have a go at making radio. Play music that are of interest to us, with or without meaning, pick up and discuss topics that affect women and just meet new women in the community. The sessions are relaxed and children are welcome. (however, when we record we have to ask them to be quiet)
You will have a chance to find out how radio is made, pre-record interviews, select your favorite songs and tell a story, create talk radio or even a radio story. The atmosphere is relaxed and we just want to gather and have fun. Once we created a show, we have the opportunity to record it in a radio studio in Pride Park Derby and air it on Derby Sound Community Radio. Which can be listened to across the world on www.derbysound.org.uk
The sessions are free and light refreshments are provided, donations welcome.
