Bond small grants scheme now open – deadline 9AM GMT on Monday 11 May 2015

This is to let you know that Bond has launched a small grants scheme, to fund organisations working with diaspora communities to deliver communications activities that aim to increase awareness and interest in
development cooperation amongst diaspora in the UK.

The amount available is £2,000 – £10,000 for each organisation. The total amount to be awarded is £33,000 so the majority of grants awarded will be £2,000 – £7,000.

Activities should have particular focus on communicating the post-2015 process, the sustainable development goals and the impacts of EU development cooperation.

Activity should take a storytelling approach to communicating development, using personal stories to highlight what development cooperation means in practice, how it changes peoples’ lives and the impact it has.  Eligible
activity includes:

  • Communication activities, Speaker tours, Events,

  • Training events,

  • Campaign activities,

  • Toolkits,

  • Printed materials,

International flights from the global south to support organisations bringing individuals to the UK to attend speaking opportunities.

The project/activities must be completed by 31 December 2015.

Your completed application form and budget should be submitted to lgood@bond.org.uk by 9AM GMT on Monday 11 May 2015 stating the reference
“Diaspora Sub-Grant Proposal” and your organisation name.
