Launch of national guidelines on the development of mental health services for BME communities

You are invited to the national launch of this guidance co-hosted by BSMHFT and the Joint Commissioning Team.

The Joint Commissioning Panel for Mental Health produces a range of documents used by commissioner and providers alike and have taken a really positive step in commissioning Professor Sashidharan and Professor Kamaldeep Bhui  to produce guidance which describes what good mental health services for BME groups look like. We are committed to providing appropriate mental health services for all our communities but there are well documented reasons why we should have particular regard for the mental health of our BME communities, especially in light of the demographic of our local population.
