Fair Enough? Inequality: the big debate

Location: Midlands Arts Centre

Date: Monday 9th June

Fee: Free

Birmingham Leadership Foundation is currently looking for passionate and opinionated young leaders (yes that’s you!), age 18 – 35, to take part in the BLF ‘Fair Enough?’ debate.

This is going to be a big deal for the city and we’d love for you to be there.

We’ll be joined by world famous human rights campaigner, Peter Tatchell, as we openly discuss the issue of inequality.

We plan for an honest and uncensored debate. Why do those in senior management and leadership positions always seem to be white middle class men? Can anyone, regardless of sex, class, or race, reach the top in 2014? Is the workplace really a level playing field? Do we continue to judge ability based on appearance whilst perceiving ‘differences’ negatively? If so, why and how can this change?

This also happens to be fantastic networking opportunity and a chance to make valuable new contacts. Fair Enough? is sponsored by Lloyds Bank and we’ll be joined by some key members of the Birmingham business community and senior local government officials.

Please drop me an email if you would like to join the discussion or to book a place in the audience email [email protected].
