Tuesday 20 May 2014 | 11am

The British Red Cross is bringing an exhibition of intimate portraits of Syrian refugees living in the UK by acclaimed Sunday Times photographer Paul Conroy to The Library of Birmingham between 20 – 29 May 2014.

Featuring individuals and families that the Red Cross has helped in various locations, including Birmingham, the free exhibition tells the story of how the refugees came to the UK, the issues they faced and how the charity has supported them along the way.

British Red Cross operations director for Staffordshire, Warwickshire and West Midlands, Karen Robinson warmly invites you to an exclusive Red Cross event to view the photographs and learn more about our work to support refugees and asylum seekers in the area.

These powerful images will be on display in the foyer of The Library of Birmingham, Centenary Square, Broad Street from 20 May until 29 May 2014.

If you would like to join us, please email Catherine Bates at [email protected] by 16 May to ensure your place. Light refreshments will be provided.
